When
you're a true innovator, others will follow your lead. Zimmatic
has been the first to introduce structural design advantages,
many of which continue to be available only with a Zimmatic system.
In
the early '80s, we recognized the cost savings that could be realized
through commonality of parts. By doing so, we have enabled growers
to reduce operational costs and have made the replacement of parts
easier. This also makes a Zimmatic system easier to erect than
other systems on the market.
We've
taken steps to ensure a Zimmatic system stands up against the
elements. Heavy-wall pipe is a full 15 percent heavier than that
used on competitive systems. Each span is supported by forged-head
truss rods, crossed stabilizer angles, and deeper, wider "V-Jack"
trusses to efficiently distribute the load throughout the span.
They are considered the industry's most durable and efficient
design. And all components of the structure are 100 percent galvanized
for extra corrosion protection.
Because
strength and durability are critical, we've designed exclusive
features that increase the life of a Zimmatic span. Our patented
Uni-Knuckle span connector distributes the load uniformly to protect
critical connection points and allows stress-free flexibility
on slopes up to 30 percent. The split coupler and inner boot act
as a backup safety feature should an alignment problem occur,
thus preventing structural damage. The inner boot is also easy
to replace if necessary. These are advantages you just won't find
with other systems. |
